In this exercise, you will read through the psalm twice. The first time, slowly and reflectively. The second time take it line-by-line. With each line, simply pause and respond to God.
For example, if the line was “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.” You could simply pray, “Thank You Lord for being my shepherd”. Or, “Thank you that I’m not in want”. Or, “Lord, I do have wants that are controlling my life and I need your help.” There is no right or wrong way to do this. Just take in each line and allow the Holy Spirit to put words to your thoughts and feelings and offer that to God.
