Read Romans 10:1-4
- How does a person seek to establish their own righteousness?
- In what ways do you “perform” to earn God’s favor?
- How does Jesus bring an end to the idea that we can work and earn God’s favor?
Several times in this journey through Romans, the question has been asked, “have you had faith in Jesus to pay the penalty for your sins and transferred your allegiance to Him as King- thereby receiving His righteousness in return?” This is crucial as it allows the Holy Spirit to have access into our lives and to transform us.

ROMANS 10:9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
