Read Daniel 3:1-30  Who are the main characters here and what do you learn about each of them? We don’t know the time that has elapsed between chapters 2 and 3, but Nebuchadnezzar has not remembered how God cared for him by revealing the dream!  How do you see a contrast between pride and humility in this chapter?

Read Daniel 2:17-23  How would you describe Daniel’s plan of action?  What could you apply from Daniel’s plan of action to a situation in your own life?  What role does the community of believers play in Daniel’s life?  Despite the obvious power that Nebuchadnezzar hold in everyone’s life, to whom does Daniel ascribe ultimate power? Why? 

Read Daniel 2: 1-16  How do you see Daniel’s ‘wisdom and tact’ at work in this scene?  What do you suppose helps Daniel stay collected and respond so well?  Who, in your life, holds power over you? How do you respond in conflict with them?
