Friday 5/5

  • Read John 17: 20-26

What is Jesus praying for all of us?

How does our unity make Jesus more credible to the world?

When have you seen a unity that could only be attributed to the Holy Spirit’s work?

Thursday 5/4

  • Read John 17: 13-19

Jesus asks the Father to sanctify us through the truth. Sanctify means ‘to set apart as or declare holy’.

How do you think the word helps you to be set apart?

Where, in your own life, are you prone to attack from satan? What are your weak spots?

Spend some time praying now asking the Spirit to make you wise and wary of your weaknesses, and for strength from his word.

Wednesday 5/3

  • Read John 17: 6-12

Jesus explains that He has shown us the Father. Think back over the past 16 chapters of John- what is the Father like?

What do you think that we need to be protected from?

Pray, as Jesus asked the Father, that we, His followers, would be one.

Tuesday 5/2

  • Read John 17:1-5

How does Jesus give us eternal life? To whom?

  • In your own words, describe eternal life on a separate piece of paper
  • In what ways do you feel like you have grown to know Jesus and the Father better over the past year?
  • How would you like to see this ‘knowing’ grow?

Monday 5/1

  • Read John 17

What pops out to you as you read through this chapter?

Is there anything confusing or hard?

Sunday 4/30

Jesus finishes chapter 16 by sharing that He has overcome the world.

All around us it seems there are struggles, excruciatingly hard situations, injustice, and pain.

Spend some time praying for what you see in your own world- realizing that Jesus has, indeed, overcome the world. In time, He will align all to His Kingdom.

Saturday 4/29

  • Read John 15:1-16:33

Try to condense chapter 15 into one sentence. Write it below:

What about chapter 16?

What are the 2 things you will remember most from this chapter?
