CURRENT SERIES

The word Easter is associated with a lot of things: pastel colors, brunch, egg hunts, getting dressed up, going to church with grandma. Whether someone follows Jesus or not, most everyone agrees that Easter Sunday is meant to be a big celebration.

But for Jesus followers, this celebration is shaped by a particular story and its themes and images. A stone rolled away. Neatly folded graveclothes. “He is not here.” The angels. The gardener? The empty tomb. Life over death. Victory. Resurrection. THE good news.

In the church, we approach Easter as not just a day, but a season—seven weeks to explore the good news of our Lord’s resurrection. This season, beginning on April 5, we will lean hard into these themes—think of it like celebrating seven Easter Sundays in a row. As light is refracted through a prism, a few teachers will examine the greatest story ever told from different angles, allowing the gospel to do its work. Welcome to Up from the Grave.
