The NLT translated verse 3 as “for only we who believe can enter His rest.” Again, the author warns that some may fail to experience His rest.
- What does rest look like for you? (not sleeping at night, but an experience of a deep, soul kind of rest).
- What does rest with Jesus make you think of? Why is this rest to be so desired?
Jesus shows great compassion for the father in Mark chapter 9 who said, “I believe, help my unbelief!” To me, this shows the difference between our saving faith/belief in Jesus, versus the daily offering of belief in following the Lord and His ways.
He desires both from us.
A heart filled with belief in Jesus for salvation and living, can lean back into the Father’s arms and rest.
