Riverside Church meets at The Beacon
4210 Lincoln Way West
Sunday @ 10:30am
(kids ministry through 5th grade)
Here are a few things we do most Sundays:
Details for our Sunday gatherings are as follows: We gather on Sunday’s to meet with God and each other. Our gatherings are real, raw, and sometimes flawed. We don’t put a production on, but we do strive to intentionally gather in a way that forms us and glorifies Jesus.
We meet in a gym, so it’s not a stuffy atmosphere. At the same time, we celebrate with historical worship practices like weekly communion. You can come as you are (there is no dress code). We’ll even have free coffee waiting for you.
Kids: We have a full Kid’s ministry program from newborn to 5th grade at our 10:30 celebration. All volunteers are trained, undergo background checks, and love working with kids.
Students: Students in 6th-12th grade worship and serve with the adults and have their own small group time most Sunday afternoons.
Music: We sing a few songs to God together. Most times this is led by a band; sometimes it’s just a piano and vocals. We intentionally use music from different genres. Check out this playlist to hear some of the current songs we sing together. Also, check out this playlist on YouTube that our worship team created.
Message: One of our leaders will give a 30-35 minute message about life with Jesus. It will be relevant, often challenging, and always grace-filled. You can listen to previous messages here .
Communion: We celebrate communion every week; it’s usually part of our singing time, is explained first, and is always optional.
Giving: For those who value the mission of Riverside and are learning to give, we give back to God a portion of what He’s given us. We don’t pass an offering plate; there are simply boxes by each exit for people to give however they are led. You can also give online.
Additionally: Each gathering begins with a call to worship and ends with a closing blessing. At times, we utilize other modes of art and worship, such as following different church seasons like Advent and Lent.
So, we gather in a simple, informal atmosphere, and are unapologetic that we love Jesus and are about His mission. And if you have questions or want to learn more, please don’t hesitate to contact us .
