Wednesday 4/19

  • Read John 14: 5-14

What does it mean that Jesus is ‘the way’?

 ‘the truth’?

 ‘the life’?

How have these names been true in your own life?

When you think of your prayers, how do you feel about the promise in verses 13-14?

Tuesday 4/18

  • Read John 14: 1-4

What kinds of things trouble you today? What’s keeping you up at night?

Jesus tells the disciples to trust in God, but to also trust in Him. They knew Him. They could see Him. He was the link between them and the Father.

Who, in your own life, has been the ‘visible’ person encourage you to trust an unseen Father God?

What are some of your dreams for the kind of place that Jesus is preparing for us?

Monday 4/17

  • Read John 14

What do we learn about who God or Jesus is from this chapter?

What do we learn about us as people from this chapter?

Sunday 4/16

Spend some time this morning relaxing with the Father. Write out some of the characteristics of God you see in this chapter that you can exalt in prayer today.

Saturday 4/15

  • Read John 13

If you had to condense this chapter to one sentence, write out that sentence on a separate piece of paper.

What are the 2 things you will remember most from this chapter?

Friday 4/14

  • Read John 13: 31-38

What does it mean in your life to be a disciple?

Why do you think love is listed as the primary way that people know that we are His disciples?

Who are the people you are finding hard to love right now? Spend some time praying for those relationships. The Spirit can enable us to love with His love being the fuel.

Thursday 4/13

  • Read John 13: 18-30

What are the confusing pieces of this passage? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you.

What do you think it mean to be ‘chosen’ in verse 18?

It’s often easy for me to look at Judas and just shake my head. But I know that there are times when I also turn away, when I choose other things and other people.

Spend some time asking the Holy Spirit to show you if there are ways that you are turning away from Jesus right now.
