Sunday 2/19/23

Jesus worked an amazing miracle in our chapter this past week, and also spent a lot of time on the word testimony.

As you sit, pray, and reflect this morning:

  • Is there a space or situation in our life that seems impossible that you could offer up to Jesus for His healing?
  • Think about your own testimony. In the past year, how have you seen the Holy Spirit forming you into Christlikeness?

Saturday 2/18/23

  • Read John 5

If you had to condense this chapter into one sentence, what would you say? Write out that sentence on a separate piece of paper.

What are the 2 things you will remember most from this chapter?

Thursday 2/16/23

  • Read John 5: 31-47

What do you learn about God the Father from this passage?

Why do you think Jesus is speaking about His testimony?

Why do you think that the Son is given all judgment and not the Father? Just your ideas! I don’t know either 🙂

Wednesday 2/15/23

  • Read John 5: 24-30

On a separate piece of paper, write out your understanding of how a person passes from death to life:

When Jesus says that His judgment is just—what do you think this means?

Tuesday 2/14/23

  • Read John 5: 16-23

From these verses, what do you learn about Jesus?

What do you learn about the Father?

What are the applications for us? For you?

Monday 2/13/23

  • Read John 5: 1-15

Can you imagine being disabled and needing to compete to get into this pool first? I can only imagine how discouraging it would be. Thirty-eight years this man had been lame.

  • Why do you think Jesus asks him if he wants to get well?
  • What area of your life would Jesus ask you “do you want to get well?” Sit with the Holy Spirit and ask for wisdom.
  • What do you think Jesus means in verse 14?
  • What do you see in the man’s responses to Jesus and the situation?

Sunday 2/12/23

Spend some time this morning praying and resting with the Lord.

Anticipate worship together this morning.

Thank the Father for pursuing you AND knowing everything about you.
