Wednesday 10/12/22

  • Read Hebrews 7: 23- 8:2

On Sundays we are talking about the tabernacle built by the Israelites according to the specific instructions God gave.

  • How does this relate to the Tabernacle where Jesus now sits?
  • On a separate piece of paper, list out all the qualities given about who Jesus is
  • Which of these draws you today? How is Jesus a priest in your own life?

Tuesday 10/11/22

  • Read Hebrews 7: 11-28

Seek the Spirit’s leading as you read.

  • What kinds of things do we learn about God and Jesus?
  • How is Jesus unique from the other priests?
  • What do you think it means that Jesus is able to ‘save completely”?
  • How does this impact you today?

Monday 10/10/22

  • Read Hebrews 7: 1-10

Pray and ask the Spirit to lead & guide you.

OK, chapter 7 talks about a man named Melchizedek. He meets Abraham and Abraham gives him an offering. It can be a confusing story, so once again, we are going to turn to our friends at the Bible Project for a little overview:

  • What pops out to you from the video?

I thought it was interesting that Melchizedek is a priest of the Most High God- and we don’t know how he knew about God. All over the world, there are people worshipping the One True God. Spend some time right now praying for God’s good news of salvation to be spread to the ends of the earth.

Sunday 10/9/22

Spend some time this morning sitting quietly before the Lord preparing your heart for corporate worship. Listen to some music, pray, rest in the Father.

  • On a separate piece of paper, journal about anything that comes to mind

Saturday 10/8/22

  • Read Hebrews 6: 13- 20

Humbly ask for the Spirit’s help to grow through the word.

  • What do we learn/ know about God from this passage?
  • Describe the hope that is our anchor? What does this hope mean in your life?
  • How have you seen God to be a promise- keeper and unchangeable in your own life?

Friday 10/7/22

  • Read Hebrews 6: 9-12

Stop and pray for wisdom from the Spirit.

  • Who around you has demonstrated faith and patience to you?
  • What do you think it means to show diligence in your faith til the end?
  • Spend some time praying and asking the Spirit to show you areas where you are not diligent. Journal anything that comes to mind.
